At Lake Doniphan, we offer a variety of activities to enhance your group’s retreat experience! Whether you’re seeking peaceful solitude in nature or engaging in group activities with fellow participants, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at our retreat center.

Nature Walks and Hiking:

Immerse yourself in the beauty of our natural surroundings with nature walks and hiking. Explore our trails, breathe in fresh air, and connect with the serenity of the great outdoors.

Arts and Crafts:

Carolyns Craft Cabin is stocked with various art supplies for your attendees to release their creative potential. From painting and drawing to bracelet making and collage, these hands-on activities provide an opportunity for self-expression and artistic exploration.

Sports:

Our sports court offers basketball, volleyball, and pickleball, tetherball is also conveniently located nearby. Or hop over to our ever-popular gaga ball pit or challenge your friends to a game of nine square in the air! Hike to our rec field for soccer and other field games such as kickball, football, and baseball.

Yard Games:

Have a relaxing game of horseshoes, ladder ball, giant Jinga, giant connect four, or cornhole.

Aquatic Adventures:

Find the perfect fishing spot and cast a line, you could reel in a catfish, perch, crappie, bass, or a giant grass carp! Or venture onto the water in a canoe, peddle boat, Corcl boat, or WigWag to explore our 7-acre lower lake. Boating is instructed by Redcross waterfront certified Lake Doniphan lifeguards and is an additional fee. Boating must be booked two weeks prior to your event.

Swimming:

Make a splash in our 100,000-gallon swimming pool! Our swimming pool features zero entry, water fountains, and nice bath houses. Lake Doniphan provides Redcross certified lifeguards, swimming is an additional fee and must be booked two weeks prior to your event.

Game Room:

Our game room is a popular hangout spot where you can enjoy pool, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, board games, and puzzles.

Playgrounds:

Play can be an important part of the retreat experience for our younger guests. We have two centrally located playgrounds and a swing set.

Campfires:

Experience the warmth of friendship, the magic of storytelling, and the joy of music under the starlight sky. We have six campfire pits to choose from in different settings to accommodate all campfire programming styles. Marshmallow roasting sticks are available upon request.

Disc Golf:

Our disc golf course winds its way through rolling hills and offers a unique and enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.

Hay Rack Rides:

Climb aboard our rustic hay wagon for a delightful ride through rolling hills and woods. Enjoy the picturesque landscape and lake views.

Hammock Hangout:

Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and surrender to the gentle sway of a hammock at Lake Doniphan’s Hammock Hangout. Nestled amidst the trees, with lake views, our hammocks offer guests a serene and rejuvenating experience, the perfect place to read a book or take a nap!

Archery:

Enter our archery range to experience the thrill of hitting a bullseye and enjoy the unique opportunity to learn this time-honored sport that dates back thousands of years. Archery is lead by Lake Doniphan instructors and is an additional fee. Archery must be booked two weeks prior to your event.
